Word Log (the “App”) is a daily devotional app. We care about your privacy and
keep the amount of data we handle to a minimum. This policy explains what the App collects,
why, and what choices you have.
The App has no accounts and no sign-up. We never ask for your name,
email address, or phone number.
1. Information stored on your device only
The following stay on your device and are never sent to our servers:
Devotionals you save, and your reading history
Prayer notes you write, including answered-prayer dates
Bookmarked verses and app settings (font size, reminder time)
Deleting the App removes this data from your device. We cannot recover it for you,
because we never had a copy.
2. Information processed by our server
Custom devotional and prayer text. When you ask the App to create a
devotional or a prayer for your situation, the text you type is sent to our server and
forwarded to Google’s Gemini API to generate the response. We do not store
what you type. It is used only to produce that one response and is then discarded.
Anonymous visit counter. The App increments a simple numeric counter so
it can show how many people opened a devotional today. Only the count is stored —
no identifier, no profile, nothing that can be traced back to you.
Shared devotionals. If you choose to create a share link, the devotional
content is stored on our server so the recipient can open it, and is
automatically deleted after 90 days. Anyone holding the link can view it,
so share it only with people you intend to. The personal situation text you typed when
creating a custom devotional is not included in the shared page.
Sharing is entirely optional — nothing is uploaded unless you tap to create a link.
3. Information collected by third parties
Google AdMob — serves ads to users on the free tier and may use your
device’s advertising identifier to make ads more relevant.
See Google’s Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat — processes in-app subscriptions and records purchase
status so your subscription can be restored on a new device.
See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.
Apple App Store / Google Play — handle payment itself. We never see
or store your card details.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the providers listed above.
4. Your choices
Ad tracking. On first launch the App asks for permission to use your
advertising identifier. You may decline, and
every feature of the App still works. You can change this at any time in
iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or on Android in
Settings → Google → Ads.
Ads. Subscribing to Word Log Pro removes ads entirely.
Your records. You can delete any saved devotional or prayer note inside
the App, or remove all of it by uninstalling the App.
Shared links. If you want a share link taken down before its 90 days are
up, email us and we will remove it.
5. Children
Word Log is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal
information from them.
6. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects how your information is handled, we will update
this page and revise the effective date below.
